Ann Baker Jones, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on 23 September 2011 at the age of 69. At the time, she was serving an LDS mission in South-Central Texas, but her time was cut short by a tragic fire.

Ann was born 28 October 1941 to Floyd Charles and Alice Winn Baker in Price, UT. She grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah, and graduated from South High in 1959. From 1964 to 1966, she served a mission in France.

She married Steven Karl Jones on 30 August 1967 in the Salt Lake Temple. They had six children together. Ann's life was characterized by a love of learning, devotion to family and friends, and unselfish service to all.

An avid reader, she sought learning and wisdom out of the best books by study and by faith. She found joy as a wife and mother and lovingly referred to her grandchildren as her "treasures."

She was a loyal friend. She served faithfully in many church callings and found meaning in life by losing herself in the service of others.

She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Matthew; brother, Jay Baker; and brother-in-law, Parley Pike. She is survived by her husband of forty-four years, Steve; five children: Todd (Melissa) Jones, Anissa (Rob) Wall, Mike (Shauna) Jones, Aaron (Kristin) Jones, and Ryan (Malissa) Jones; seventeen grandchildren; siblings: Bill (Phyllis) Baker, Jack (Edith) Baker, Rena (Garry) Hewitt, and Betty Pike.

Funeral services were held on Friday, 30 September 2011, at 11:00 a.m. in the Taylorsville Utah North Stake Center, 1250 West Atherton Drive (4375 South), Taylorsville. Friends visited the family on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Taylorsville Thirteenth Ward Building, 1495 Tamarack Road, Taylorsville and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. in the Taylorsville Utah North Stake Center.

Interment at Elysian Burial Gardens Cemetery.
