Lauros H. Bridges Retired Postmaster Dies:

Lauros Haddon Bridges, 67, retired postmaster at New Haven, died Saturday afternoon at 4:55 o'clock at the Callaway Hospital. Dr. George Wood pronounced cause of death was Bilateral Lobar Pneumonia, Coronary Artery Disease and Acute Myocardial Infarction.

Funeral services were held at 2pm today at the Portland Babtist Church with the Reverend Fred Pulliam officiating. Burial was in the church cemetary. Arrangements were made by the Maupin Funeral Home here.

Pallbearers were; Fred Brooks, Warner Saling, Fred Van Booven, Clarence Masek, Herbert Schmidt and Paul Pealer.

A native of New Haven, Mr. Bridges was born on January 28, 1892, a son of the late Dr. Andrew David and Mrs. Ida Louise (Gase) Bridges. The Mother survives and now lives in Kansas City with her son.

A veteran of World War 1, serving overseas with the Army.

Mr. Bridges was married to the former Myrtle Bess who survives.

In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by one son, Lauros Bridges of Kansas City, a daughter, Mrs. Clifford Christopher of Fulton, a brother, David Bridges of Fulton, four sisters, Mrs. L.B. Malone of Gashland, Mrs. M.C. Blackburn and Mrs. Margaret Ewen of Kansas City and Mrs. Robert Holzhauser of Portland and five grandchildren.

One sister, Doris, preceeded him in death.

Lauros Haddon Bridges, 67 years old, of Portland, died at 4:15pm on January 10, 1959 at Callaway Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient for eight days.

Dr. George F. Wood, of Fulton, pronounced death caused by Acute Myocardial Infarction due to Coronary Artery Disease and Lobar Pneumonia. The informant was Mrs. Myrtle Bridges, spouse of the deceased.

Mr. Bridges was born January 28, 1892, in New Haven, Missouri, the son of Dr. Andrew David and Ida Louise (Gase) Bridges. He was united in marriage to Myrtle ? and she survives him. Mr. Bridges was a retired Postmaster,

Arrangements were under the care of Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton. Burial was in the Portland Cemetery.
