Asian Elephant. She arrived at Niabi Zoo in July, 1964. She was the star attraction at Niabi Zoo for over thirty years. The entire Quad City area celebrated her birthday every year. She died just four days shy of her forty-second birthday, as a result of the endotheliotropic Herpes virus that affects Asian elephants. She was buried at an unpublicized location on the zoo grounds, and a monument was placed near the elephant habitat.
