Annie Laurie Burch was the third daughter of Michael L. Burch [1839-1922] and Eliza Augusta Dasher Burch [1849-1931]. She was born March 17 1876 in Dublin Georgia. Her family moved to Eastman, Georgia when Annie was still a baby and she spent most of her life there. Like her sisters she attended Eastman Academy. After graduation she became a teacher and taught in various Georgia schools for many years.

Of all the Burch children Annie was the most serious and reserved. She didn't marry until her later years when, at age 54, she accepted the proposal of Mr. Theodore Hamilton Edwards to become his second wife. They were happily married for 16 years at which time Theo passed away. Annie had him buried with his first wife, Genie Campbell with whom he had six children.

Annie herself died March 11, 1958. She had been in poor health for sometime due to complications from diabetes. She was buried in the family plot of Eastman's Woodlawn Cemetery.
