Dorothy Marie Langley Boggan, 87, passed away on May 29, 2013 at Methodist Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Born May 10, 1926, she was a loving and faithful daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she was a devoted member of White Station Baptist Church. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years Percy Ray Boggan, Sr., her parents, four brothers, James, Harrison, Eugene and Willard Langley, and three sisters, I'Nell Scruggs, Alfa Mae Harris, and Bessie Anthony. She is survived by three children, Percy Ray Boggan, Jr. (Judy), Kay Boggan Aldridge (Dale), James Boggan (Elizabeth); one sister, Eva Lena McKenzie; five grandchildren, Stephen Boggan (Allyson), Stephenie Boggan Driver (Brian), Brian Aldridge (Scharmin), Katie Aldridge Tarr (Jeremy), Catherine Boggan; and seven great grandchildren, Aaron and Abby Boggan, Hannah Driver, Austin and Anna Brooke Aldridge, and Kaylee and Kenley Tarr. A memorial service will be held at Brantley Funeral Home in Olive Branch, MS, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 1. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5 - 7 p.m. Interment will follow at Boggan Cemetery in Olive Branch. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society , Alzheimer's Assocoiation, or to the charity of your choice.
