Lewistown Woman Dies
Lewistown--Mrs. Carrie Joyce Gates, wife of Albert W. Gates, president of the Montana Lumber and Hardware Co., died at a local hospital Tuesday where she had been receiving medical care for the past year.
Carrie Joyce Ackinson was born in Lafayette, Ind., in 1876. She was married in Livingston Dec. 65, 1902, to Albert W. Gates. They came to Lewiston in 1905, where the have lived continuously since.
She is survived by her husband, who is in the hospital receiving medical care; a son, Capt. Albert W. Gates, serving with the American army of occupation in Germany; a grandson and a brother and sister.
Funeral services will be held at the St. James Episcopal church Friday afternoon at 2. Burial will be in the Lewistown city cemetery.
