6 Aug 1957: Mrs. Carrie S. (Wagner) Hess, 63, of 65 Maytown Ave., Elizabethtown, died Monday evening at 10:45 o'clock in the Elmdale Rest Home, Lititz. She was the widow of Brooks Hess and a former Lebanon resident. She had been ill with complications for a few years. Mrs. Hess worshipped in the Lutheran faith. The survivors are: children, Walter W. Hess, Elizabethtown; Ethel, wife of Luther Shay, Seattle, Wash.; six grandchildren; sisters, Mrs. Larene Spannuth, State College; Mrs. Louella Beuchler, Youngstown, O.; and a brother, Forrest Wagner, Robesonia.
