Inez K. Smith, 86, of Decatur died 2:15 p.m. Monday (01Apr1996) in St. Mary's Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday in Brintlinger's Funeral Home with visitaion 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery. Memorials: MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Drivers).
Mrs. Smith was born in Westerville on 20Aug1909, the daughter of Claude & Myrtle Jackson Calvert. She was a member of Central Christian Church. She retired after many years at Haines & Essick's & had formerly operated Junior Inn for 7 years. She was former president of Warren PTA & a former member of Order of Eastern Star. She married Everett C. Smith on 23Feb1929. He preceded her in death on 16Sep1982.
Surviving are her son, Darrell Smith & wife Doris of Decatur; sisters, Nellie Hill of Decatur; Pearl Howe & husband Richard of OH; grandchildren, Douglas Smith & wife Ann of Denton, TX; Dawn Ryan & husband Richard of Decatur; Darren Smith & wife Jennifer of Edzel, Scotland; Linda Allen of Oreana; great-grandchildren, D'Andra & Tiffany Smith & Elizabeth Smith Allen.
She was preceded in death by her husband, 1 son, Lloyd Dean Smith & 1 grandson, Daniel Smith.
