Mr. Shaw was born a short distance northeast of the Pleasant Hill Presbyterian church, February 7, 1868, the son of Peter and Catherine (Dellinger) Shaw, and on October 26, 1892, was married to Miss Rosa Beisel, who survives. Since their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Shaw have resided on the farm on which Mr. Shaw died, a short distance west of the Pleasant Hill church. Of this church Mr. Shaw was a lifetime member and had served it as deacon. He was a farmer throughout his life.
Surviving with the widow are two sons, Earl B., at home, and Charles, of Fort Wayne; two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Stephenson of Mulberry and Mrs. Hattie Rex of Frankfort; a brother, John Shaw, of Los Angeles, Calif.; five grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Three brothers, Grant of Mulberry, Dan of near Frankfort and James of Indianapolis preceded him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at the L. E. Moore & Son mortuary in Rossville Wednesday afternoon by the Rev. Arthur Powell. Burial was in the Rossville cemetery.
