"Retired pharmacist
Harmon Kinison dies
Harmon "Preach" Kinison, 77, of 607 S. Lincoln St., West Frankfort, a retired pharmacist and former theater operator, died at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, 1976, in the Union Hospital in West Frankfort.
Mr. Kinison was a pharmacist at the Barker Drig Store in West Frankfort, before retirement. Prior to that, he had operated the former Rex Theater in West Frankfort, and had been a pharmacist at the Holland Drug Store in West Frankfort.
He was born July 24, 1898, in Herrin to the Rev. J.C. and Eleanor Cook Kinnison.
He was a member of the Central Methodist Church in West Frankfort.
His wife, Clio, died in August 1966.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Glen Boner of Emporia, Kan., Mrs. Bill Scuporia of LaPorte, Ind., and Mrs. Don Batts of Taylorsville; a son Robert of Rockford; 14 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saaturday in the Stone Funeral Home in West Frankfort Home. Burial will be in Boner Cemetery in West Frankfort. Friends may call after 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
