He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Joanna; sons, Jearl Jr. (Bobo) and Stephen; daughters, Esther, Sarah, Tabitha, and Crystal; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandson; a sister, Shirley; and two brothers, Alton Eugene, and David Wayne.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Roy Dean, and a sister, Mary Katherine.
