Ann Vest, 71, of LaHarpe, Kansas, died Thursday, September 22, 2011, at the home of her daughter in Iola.
Ann was born April 9, 1940, in LaHarpe, Kansas, the daughter of John and Lynn (Conner) Mapes. She grew up in the Moran area.
On November 7, 1956, Ann married George L. Vest, Sr. and they lived on several Allen County farms before making their home in LaHarpe. He died August 8, 2004.
Ann enjoyed children and operated a daycare in her home for years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren, animals, and her flower garden.

FUNERAL SERVICE: 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, September 27, 2011, at the Waugh-Yokum & Friskel Chapel in Iola. Chaplain Lloyd W. Houk will officiate.
