Born September 6, 1905, in Loganton, Clinton County, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Annie (Snook) Swartwood. She married D Luther Imes, who died in 1972
Surviving are children, Charles S Imes, Melvin L Imes and R Lee Imes, all of Star Route, Mifflin, Mrs Donald (Stella) Brandt, Enola, Mrs Robert (Connie) Horst, Camp Hill, Blair W Imes, McAlisterville, RD 1, David L Imes, Port Royal, RD 2 and Lehman T Imes, Port Royal, RD 1; two sisters, Mrs Lillian Colyer of Cocolamus and Mrs Sarah Swailes of Port Royal, RD 2; 34 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A son, Earl Imes, died in 1971.
Mrs Imes attended the Rock Assembly of God Church and was a member of the Mifflin Ambulance Company.
Services were held Sunday afternoon in the Henry Funeral Home, Honey Grove, with the Rev Frank J Swartz officiating. Burial took place in St Paul's Cemetery, Nook.
