He was married to Mary E Loucks in 1879. To this union was born 7 daughters and 3 sons. Four daughters and one son preceded him to the spirit world.
He leaves to mourn their loss, a wife, 3 daughters, 2 sons and 2 grandsons, an aged mother, 3 brothers, 10 sisters and a host of friends and relatives.
He was the first out of a family of fourteen to die except those who died in infancy.
Services were held at the Olive Church conducted by H M Schwaim and David Yoder.
