Greeley was working 32 hours a week for $620.00 a month, for the Steam Railway as an Engine Washer. He had completed 1 year of high school. Living with them was a grand son, 5 year old William H. Buchanan and Greeley's 73 year old father, Robert Buchanan

Dec. 29, 1966 was a sad day for his wife and children, because Samuel Greeley Buchanan's spirit had returned to God, his Maker. The Mary, her family and their friends gathered at the Gulley Cemetery to bid their beloved Greeley a fond farewell. (bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman)

Mary's spirit went to dwell with the Lord on Nov. 24, 1978. Her body was buried in the plot next to her dear Greeley, where they both "Rest in Peace". (bio by Audrey DeCamp Hoffman)
