Mary Irene Higgins, 83, died Saturday, August 5 at Garden City, Kansas.
She was a member of the Lonesome Dove Baptist Church for more than fifty years. For two years she had been a member of Travis Baptist Church.
She was born in Stephens county, Texas, April 28, 1907.
Her parents were William and Blanche Carpenter.
Survivors are one son, Raymond Higgins of Fort Worth; one daughter, Peggy Gaston of Memphis; 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Carpenter of Roanoke.
