Betty Grace (Renn) LEVIN

LEVIN Betty Grace (nee Renn), of Ramsey, NJ, passed away peacefully Saturday, Feb. 20, 2010 in New Jersey. She was in her 90's.Born and raised in Tharptown, PA, she was the loving daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Renn and Charlotta Renn. She moved to New Jersey 70 years ago.Mrs. Levin was the beloved wife of Jack N. Levin, who passed away in 1962.She was a wonderful homemaker who was extremely devoted to her family. After her husband's passing, Mrs. Levin worked full-time as a nurse, caring for the elderly for 37 years until 1999 when she retired.She belonged to the Rush Baptist Church, Danville, PA. She was a member of the Ramsey Woman's Club and Ramsey PTA in previous years. Mrs. Levin was a member of the Ramsey Golf and Country Club Estates and lived there in good standing longer than any other member to date.Betty loved flowers and enjoyed gardening. She took great pleasure in traveling and took many trips throughout the world. She was admired for her deep faith, inner strength, remaining calm under pressure, elegance and captivating smile.She will be deeply missed by all those who knew, respected and loved her.Mrs. Levin was a loving mother and is survived by three sons, Jack D. Levin of Ramsey, NJ and wife Dexel; David T. Levin, of Raleigh, NC and Michael R. Levin of W. Simsbury, CT and wife, Nancy; a daughter, Carol Levin Watson, of Ramsey, NJ; eight grandchildren, Douglas Levin, Heather Murphy, Mary Beth Sarazin, Cynthia Levin, James Levin, Nanette Levin, Michelle Nicklas and Susan Curley; eleven great-grandchildren, Gianna and Gillian; Madison and Chandler; Megan and Holly; Amber, Andrew and Carl; Maria Grace and Jessica and numerous nieces and nephews in the Shamokin, PA area.In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Levin was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph J. Renn, of Shamokin, PA; two sisters, Alma S. Renn of Shamokin, PA and Martha Wodzak, of Elysburg, PA and an additional twelve brothers and sisters.Funeral services were held in the Rush Baptist Church, Danville, PA. Burial was in the church cemetery. Farrow Funeral Home in Shamokin, PA made the arrangements.A Memorial Service for Mrs. Levin will be held Saturday, March 27, 2010 at 11 AM at the Old Stone Church, 500 E. Saddle River Road, Upper Saddle River, New Jersey.
