Oscar N. Gregg, 80, of Wapello died Friday, September 16, 2011 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Born July 31, 1931 in Mount Sterling, Iowa he was the son of Tom and Mildred Johnson Gregg. On May 5, 1973 he married Darlene Schlup Eagen.
Mr. Gregg attended schools in the Mount Sterling area. He was an Army Korean Conflict veteran.
Mr. Gregg was a semi-driver, delivering furniture. In his later years he was a route driver for Manjoine Distributing Company.
He was of the Methodist faith. He enjoyed boating, snowmobiling and in his younger years hunting.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene Gregg of Wapello; two daughters; two step-daughters; two step-sons; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; one sister, Betty Roberts of Mount Sterling and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.
Graveside memorial service and inurnment for Mr. Gregg will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 19th in Harness Cemetery, Mount Sterling, Iowa. The Rev. Douglas Harding will officiate. Military Rites will be conducted by Beer-Barker Post 113, American Legion, Keosauqua .
According to Mr. Gregg's wishes, cremation has been accorded.
