George W. King Is Clamed By Death

George W. King, 68, former resident near Beattie, died at his home near Oskaloosa last Friday.
Born October 8, 1865, near Plymouth, Marshall county, Ind., he came to a farm west of Beattie in 1885. He was wed to Miss Nellie Yates April 16, 1890. After his marriage he and his wife moved to the August Woester farm where they lived until 1894 when they moved to Norton. In 1912 they moved back to Beattie and two years later went to Oskaloosa.
He is survived by his widow; his sons, Guy King, Norton; Dee King, Kansas City Mo.; Edgar and Marvin King, of the home; his daughters Mrs. Mabel Yoder, and Mrs Beulah Yoder both of Peabody; Mrs Vera House, Junction City, and Mrs Ada Able of Perry; four brothers three sisters; and 16 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in the Beattie Methodist church Sunday after which burial was made in the Beattie Union Cemetery.
