Resident of Joliet for 35 years succumbs to Illness
RITES WEDNESDAY
Mrs. Maria Ada Witwer Mohler, wife of John Mohler, of the Joliet Manufacturing company, died at 3 o'clock this morning at her home, 112 Dover street, after a long illness.
Mrs. Mohler was born in Ashland, Ohio, March 29, 1856. She was married to Mr. Mohler in September, 1878, in Kingston, Mo. They moved to Joliet in 1890. She has been for many years a member of the Eastern Avenue Baptist and the First Baptist churches.
Surviving are her husband, one son, Floyd W. of Tulsa, Okla.; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard Whitmore, Omaha, Neb.; Miss Gertrude Mohler, of Joliet; and Mrs. Arthur McCracken, of Joliet; one sister, Mrs. Joseph Kopscay of South Bend, Ind.; J. Frank Witwer, of Columbus, Ohio; H. E. Witwer, of Greeley, Col.; and T. W. Witwer, of Joliet.
The funeral will be held from the home to the First Baptist church at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. The Rev. Raymond Carman will officiate at the services at the church. Burial will be in Elmhurst."
