Louise was born March 13, 1935 to Bascum and Minnie Hill in the Salty Community near Thorndale. She was the second of five children from that union.
Louise and John Chesser were married on May 16, 1980 in Whitewright, Texas with Rev. Houston Garner officiating and welcomed into her heart his five children. Louise and John spent many happy years traveling in their camper following John’s job with TP&L where she took great joy in spoiling his crew by cooking their favorite foods. They built a new home and settled in Tom Bean after retirement. Louise gave unselfishly to the care of her mother for many years. She was loved by so many and will be greatly missed.
Louise is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Jackie Scruggs in 1981 and Bobby Ferrell in 2007, granddaughter Stephanie Young, grandson Brian Chesser, four brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by her devoted husband John Chesser of Tom Bean; beloved daughters Gail Ferrell and Lisa Ferrell of Taylor; two sisters, Marie Adams and partner Dale Crocker, Carlie Herbert and husband Paul; step children, John T. Chesser, Earl Chesser, Bev Gunn, Judy Smith and Scott Chesser along with many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
