Juan M. Sedillo, 80, of Clayton, passed away Friday Sept. 16, 2011, in Pueblo, Colo. He was born April 21, 1931 in Colmor, the son of Juan J. and Beatrice Perea-Sedillo. Juan was a member of the United Pentecostal Church in Clayton, was a retired Correctional Officer, had worked in construction and was is several Westren movies with John Wayne.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Richard, sisters Loretta and Madlene and nephews Michael and Brian.

Juan is survived by one brother, Bernave A. Sedillo of Springer, and two sisters, Gloria Sanford and husband Wilber of Boise City, Okla., and Mary Frances Shaw and husband Jim of Springer.

Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011 from 2 to 4 p.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.

Funeral Services will be Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2011 at 10 a.m. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dale Sanford officiating. Burial will be in the Springer Cemetery in Springer.

Arrangements and celebration of love for Juan M. Sedillo are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
