Funeral services were held Monday morning over the body of John Stimmler, the widely known contractor, who died on Thursday at his home, 4118 Manayunk Avenue. He was born August 16, 1929, in Germany, but was brought by his parents to Manayunk when 8 years old.
He built up an extensive business in the Twenty-first ward, where he either built or remodeled many of the big mills. On registering for the recent election he presented the oldest narualization papers in the ward.
