JAMES R. QUINN - BELTON - Services for James R. Quinn, 73, of Belton will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Belton Church of Christ with minister Joe Baisden officiating. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery. He died Monday in a Temple hospital. Mr. Quinn was born in Butler, Kan., to Edward and Esther Quinn. He served in the U. S. Army in France during World War II. He married Beatrice Shugart on March 1, 1947, and had lived in Belton for the past 40 years. He had been employed at Fort Hood as a carpenter until retiring in 1977. He was a member of Belton Church of Christ and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 4008 in Belton. He was preceded in death by a son. Survivors are his wife, Beatrice Quinn of Belton; two brothers, Richard L. Quinn of Baldwin Park, Calif.; and Herman Quinn of Santana, Kan.; three sisters, Loretta Starr of Salinas, Calif.; Sadie Sealey of Midwest City, Okla.; and Jean Barnes of Temple; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association. Heartfield Funeral Home in Belton is in charge of arrangements.
