CAR-TRAIN IN ACCIDENT ON ADAMS - Two Belton men were killed about 3:10 p.m. Tuesday when an MKT freight train slammed into their automobile at the Adams Avenue crossing in Temple. Dead were Clarence Lee Fuller, 71, 206 W. 10th St. and R. E. Quinn, 76, 303 Hale St., both of Belton. Fuller was a retired Santa Fe brakeman and caller in Temple and Quinn was retired. Quinn was dead upon arrival at a local hospital and Fuller died about five minutes after reaching the hospital, police said ... Services for Quinn will be held at 2 p.m. Friday. Other arrangements are awaiting the arrival of relatives from out of state. Quinn was born in Alabama, April 8, 1884 (s/b 1886), and moved to Texas in 1890. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife; five sons, Herman Quinn of Montana, James and Edward Quinn of Belton, and Willard and Richard Quinn of Baldwin Park, Calif.; three daughters, Mrs. Elmer Sealey of Seattle, Wash., Mrs. T. M. Barnes of Temple, and Mrs. Al Herron of Killeen; two brothers, Lawson Quinn of Belton and Love Quinn of San Antonio; three sisters, Mrs. Alice Higginbotham of Marquez, Mrs. Etta Cabiness of Palestine, and Mrs. Jim Byrd of Bay City; 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Heartfield Funeral Home is in charge of both services.

R. E. QUINN FUNERAL SET - BELTON - Funeral services for R. E. (Ed) Quinn, who was killed in a train-car accident in Temple Tuesday afternoon, will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at the Belton Church of Christ. T. J. Ruble, minister of the Central Church of Christ in Temple, will officiate with Cecil Heffelfinger, minister of the Belton Church of Christ, assisting. The body will be taken to the church one hour before the service. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery. Heartfield Funeral Home is in charge. Pallbearers will be Emit West, Romaine Tanner, Roy Tanner, Marvin Buford, T. J. Drake and Albert Miller.
