Henry A. Banning Dies Early Today
Henry A. Banning of Shelbyville passed away at 6:00 this morning at the Shelby County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at the Lockart and Son Funeral Home in Shelbyville with burial in Mound Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Sunday.
He was born in Shelby County July 28, 1896, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John F. Banning. He was married to Nellie Fowler December 6, 1932. One brother preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Nellie, a son Robert of Shelbyville; four brothers, Cloyd T. of Shelbyville, Frank and Carl of Lakewood and William H. of Cowden; one sister, Mrs. Annie Holley of Cowden and two grandchildren.
Mr. Banning was a veteran of World War I and a member of the Flynn-Brown Legion Post of Cowden. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Washington, D. C. and a member of the Christian Church. He was employed by the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D. C. and was employed at the Tallman Ann Arbor and Oliver Corporation, retiring in 1961.
