Frank Banning Dies Monday, Rites Thursday
Frankie "Copie" Banning of Lakewood died at 7:00 p.m. Monday in the Shelby County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Lockart & Son Funeral Home in Cowden where friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Mound Cemetery at Cowden.
He was born in Dry Point Township April 28, 1897, the son of John F. and Clara Oller Banning. On December 13, 1933, he was married to Eldo F. Koss.
Surviving are his wife, Eldo; one daughter, Mrs. Blaine (Inez) Griffith of Mt. Zion; one son, Roger Banning of Mode; one sister, Mrs. Annie Holley of Cowden and one brother, Carl Banning of Lakewood and three grandchildren.
