His parents were Campbell and Lydia (Lida) Daubenspeck.

He was a 1911 graduate of Grove City College and a 1917 graduate of the Gettysburg Lutheran Theological Seminary.

He was married to Ada Rupp 7/8/1917.

Their children were Laird (b. 5/1919) and Fred C. (b. c. 1922).

His first call was to the Ickesburg (Perry County, Pennsylvania) Lutheran charge. Following this he served pastorates in Aaronsburg, Millerstown, Chicora, Ellwood City and Ford City. He retired from Ford City in 1960 and they moved to Rural Valley.

Following Ada's death in 1961, at some point sometime after 1/28/1964 (this is when the marriage license was issued) he married Mrs. Ivy Edith (Heilman) Harmon.

Rev. Fred H. Daubenspeck, 80, of Sunset St., Rural Valley died last night in Celia Cribbs Rest Home, Black Lick.

A member of the first Lutheran Church, Rural Valley, Mr. Daubenspeck served as minister in Vicksburg, Chicora, Ellwood City and Ford City churches. He retired from Ford City parish in 1960 and had been living in Rural Valley since then.

Born April 15, 1886 in North Washington, he was a son of Campbell Daubenspeck and the former Lida Hutchison.

Mr. Daubenspeck was preceded in death by his first wife, the former Ada Rupp, in 1961, and one son, Laird R. in 1953.

Surviving him are: his second wife, the former Mrs. Ivy Harmon; one son, Fred C. of Park Forest, Ill. two brothers, Clement R. of Woodbury, N. J. and Frank T. of Altoona; and two sisters, Mrs Ross (Angeline) Smith of Columbus, Ohio and Mrs. Howard (Pauline) Barnes of Pittsburgh.

Daubenspeck – Friends of Rev. Fred H. Daubenspeck of Rural Valley, who died March 22, 1967 will be received at Wendell A. Welch Funeral Home, Ford City, after 7 this evening and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p. m. thereafter. Funeral arrangements are not yet complete. Burial will be in North Washington Cemetery. Arrangements by Welch.
