He was husband of Mary E Thomison and father of Mary Louise Keathley HartA memorial services for John A. Keathley, 92, of Lawton, Oklahoma was held at the First United Methodist Church in Lawton with Rev. Danny Moss, pastor, officiating.

Keathley graduated from Texas A&M in 1925. He moved to Lawton in 1925.

He and Mary E. Thomison were married 4 August 1929 at Guthrie, Oklahioma. She preceded him in death.

IN 1935, the Keathley's founded the Lawton Meat Supply from which related businesses were established including Lawton Rendering Plant, Mary Lou Ranch Stork feeding at Meers, Oklahoma, Hi-Vi Pet Food Company in Rush Springs, Oklahoma, Mrs. Dyers Foods in Oklahoma City and TOL hog feeding operations in Texas and Louisiana.

Among his civic interests he served as director, volunteer worker and participant in the Wichita Mountain Sunrise Service, was a member of Lawton Downtown Kiwanis Club, the Lawton Chamber of Commerce, Lawton Jaycees, a Mason, involved in Boy Scout work and Lawton-Fort Sill relations.

Survived by one daughter - Katy Kay Bonner of Oklahoma City, OK; one brother - Marlin Keathley of Canoga Park, CA; seven grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers - George Dennis Keathley and Walter Keathley; three sisters - Minnie Keathley, Joella Banarsdall and Clara Belle Reichmann.
