Howard married Elva Gail Shaw April 22, 1911. Elva and her twin sister Elsie Vale Shaw Hickman were school teachers.

From The Springfield News-Leader, April 19, 1983 -- KANSAS CITY -- Graveside and Masonic services for Howard Berry, 98, Kansas City will be at 1:00 pm Wednesday in Dadeville Masonic Cemetery with the Rev Harold Hayes officiating. Burial is under the direction of Russell of Greenfield.
Mr. Berry died Saturday at an Independence hospital of natural causes. Born in Dadeville, Mr. Berry was a retired merchant. He was a member of Independence Avenue Christian Church and the Washington Lodge No. 87 AF&AM of Greenfield. He moved from the Everton area to Kansas City in 1943.
Survivors include one daughter Ruth Hoover, Hacienda Heights, California; two sons Kenton, Belin, New Mexico, and Howard, Independence; 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 3 gr-great grandchildren.
