MRS. R.E. ROBERTS DEAD

Funeral will be Held Here Sunday Afternoon

Mrs. R. E. Roberts, 37, died at her home, three miles south of Chanute, Kansas at 1:40 Wednesday afternoon, after an illness of about six weeks. She had been in failing health for the past two years.
Funeral services will be held at the Roy S. Gibson Funeral Home Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Lloyd E. Griffeth officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
Mrs. Roberts, the former Mary Elizabeth Floyd, was born April 26, 1904, at Manes, Missouri.
She came with her father, sisters and brothers to Kansas 20 years ago, locating at Humboldt.
She was married to R. E. Roberts September 2, 1932, at Erie, Kansas.
Since her marriage, she had lived near Chanute.
She leaves her husband; her father, James M. Floyd, who makes his home with them; four sisters, Mrs. B. Stotts, of Chanute, KS, Mrs. R. Williams, of Humboldt, KS, Mrs. H. B. Foster, of Chanute, KS, and Mrs. C. T. Ballard, of Graff, MO; two brothers, Lester Floyd, of Chanute, KS, and Chester Floyd of the home; and several nieces and nephews.
