Orville Stroud, age 71, of Grayson, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 14, 2011. He was born on Nov 25, 1939, at Crum, West Virginia, the son of Allen Stroud and Brookie Almeda Parsley.
Orville proudly served our country in the United States Army.
His brother, Wayne Stroud also preceded him in death along with three sisters, Lora King, Olive Sutherland, and Edna Mae Mills.
He leaves behind his wife Hazel Stroud, three daughters, Karen Jones and husband Robert of Garrison, Ky., Sandra Stroud-Zorn and husband Martin of Bethel, MN., and Renee Coghill and husband J.R. of Chesapeake, OH., five grandchildren, Kyle Ross Coghill, Christopher Ryan Orville Coghill, both of Chesapeake, Robby Jones and Jessica Jones of Garrison, Ky., and Kayla Brookie Zorn of Bethel, MN., one brother, James, and friends and neighbors too numerous to mention.
Funeral services will be conducted at noon on Friday, September 16, 2011, at Johnson Tiller Funeral Home, with Pastor Jim Stephens officiating. Burial will follow in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery North East, Greenup County, Kentucky.
