Marie Dillon, age 97 of Cookeville, Tennessee passed from this life Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at Bethesda Health Care Center. She was born Friday, April 10, 1925 in Crum, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Allen and Brookie (Parsley) Stroud. Marie was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her.
Marie leaves behind five daughters: Oretha Del Giudice of Almont Michigan, Emma Becker of Monterey Tennessee, Catha Miller of Rickman Tennessee, Judy Bradley of Alpena Michigan, Elaine Moore of Romeo Michigan; four sons: Liss Dillon Jr. of Cookeville Tennessee, Allen Dillon of Capac Michigan, Robert Dillon of Roseville Michigan, Wayne Dillon of Rickman Tennessee; one brother: James Stroud of Chillicothe Ohio; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband: Liss Dillon Sr., one daughter: Ida Grapentin; one grandson: Shane Miller; one great-grandson: Desmond Piccini; six sisters and three brothers.
Funeral Services for Marie were held Saturday April 1st from the chapel of Presley Funeral Home with Pastor Matthew Havens officiating. Interment followed in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
