Pedro was born in San Ysidro NM, and was a resident of Ponderosa, NM, where he was a member of Santo Toribio Catholic Church.
Pete was a proud United State Navy Veteran, who served hs country during the Korean Conflict. Pete was a teacher in the Jemez Valley Public School District for 25 years and he served as a New Mexico State Legislator from 1970 until 1972.
Pete was preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe Trujillo Sr. and Ferminia Trujillo, brothers, Nabor, Bernabe Jr. and Isidor Trujillo and sister, Sylvia Trujillo.
Pete is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Evangeline "Angie" Trujillo of the family home, five children, Geraldine García and her husband, Louie of Ponderosa, NM, Pedro "Pete" Trujillo Jr. and his wife, Margie of San Ysidro, NM, Carla Luján and her husband, Charlie of Albuquerque, Patricia Esquíbel and her husband, Lawrence of Bosque Farms, NM, Mildred Peck and her husband, Mike of Ponderosa, NM, nine grandchildren, Simon Trujillo, Matthhew Garíca, Michelle Trujillo, Melissa Barela, Nicole, Jonathan, David Esquíbel, Michael Ryan and Mikayla Peak, three great-grandchildren, Eliana Esquíbel, Felicity Barela and Mathew García Jr. Also surviving are his siblings, Dorothy Chávez and her husband, Alonzo "Al", Efren Trujillo and his wife, Juanita, David Trujillo, Joann Trujillo all of Albuquerque, sister-in-law, Bernice Trujillo of San Ysidro, NM and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved relatives and friends. Pete loved his family very much, and he will be greatly missed by all.
Visitations will be on Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Daniels Family Funeral Services - Alameda Mortuary, where a Rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. Another Rosary will be recited on Monday morning at 10:00 a.m. at Santo Toribio Catholic Church in Ponderosa, NM, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at the Ponderosa Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Matthew García, Louie García, Michael Ryan Peck, Michelle Trujillo, Carlos Sandoval and Jonathan Esquíbel. Honorary pallbearers will be Manuel Lucero, Ray Rivera, Simon Trujillo, David Esquíbel and Mike Peck.
