S. Efren Trujillo was born on September 15, 1940 in San Ysidro, New Mexico.
Efren passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2015 in Albuquerque, NM at the age of 74. Efren honorably served his country in the United States Army for four years and retired from the Veterans Hospital, where he received many awards over the years.
Efren was a longtime member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he was involved in many ministries. As well, Efren will be remembered for his love of hunting, fishing and wood carving.
Efren will be greatly missed.
Efren was preceded in death by his parents, Bernabe and Fermina Trujillo and by his brothers, Isidro Trujillo, Nabor Trujillo and Bernie Trujillo.
Efren is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Juanita Trujillo, children, James Humphrey and his wife, Barbara and Annette Trujillo, grandchildren, Michael Sr., Timothy Sr., Jacob and his wife, Elisa, Justin, Candace, Briana and Amber, great-grandchildren, Michael Jr., Timothy Jr., Elena, Jasmine, Neveah and Kayla Rose, sisters, Dorothy Chávez and her husband, Alonzo and Jo Ann Trujillo, as well as many other family members and friends who loved and will miss him.
Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1860 Griegos Rd. NW, Albuquerque, NM. A Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM on Friday, March 20, 2015 at 9:45 a.m. with United States Army Honors.
