Andrew McGarvey, aged 74 years, of Bethel, Shenango township, Mercer county, was found dead in the McFarland coal mine in Mercer county where he was working Wednesday, about noon, by one of his fellow miners.
Mr. McGarvey's death was very unexpected as he was in his usual health when he went to work in the morning. His death is supposed to have been the result of a heart attack.
The following children survive: Warren of Cleveland, O., Andrew of Oregon, Charles of Michigan, Mrs. Mary Barton of Canton, O., and Mrs. Dora Onstott of Pulaski.
The body has been removed to the Campgell undertaking rooms, East North street, where it will remain until Friday afternoon. A short funeral service will be conducted Friday, July 1, at 4 p.m., eastern standard time, in the Pulaski cemetery where burial will be made.
