He was born in Germany. He married Augusta Hoeft there. And had a child Julius. They traveled to America with his parents, and her nephew, settling in Waupun. He was a founding member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Waupun. The church being buildt adjacent to his home. The family home is now the church's parking lot. They had 3 more sons, and 1 daughter. The Family name was Zuelsdorf. But in print ie obituaries, and marriage announcements, the name was listed as Zielsdorf. Two sons, Julius and Oscar took this spelling. All of their children are buried in Forrest Mound, except for Julius who is buried in Watertown, Wisconsin. Frederick was my 2nd great grandfather. And Julius my great-grandfather.

At the funeral services for Fred Zielsdorf, 82, on Monday afternoon, those from out of town were Mr. and Mrs. Pick of Fond du Lac, Arthur Swantz of Fond du Lac, Mrs. Bertha Hollander of Fond du Lac, Mr. and Mrs. Lutzke and two sons of Manitowoc, and Mrs. and Mrs. William Grosert of Watertown.
The pall bearers at the services were the four sons of Mr Zieldorf, Julius Zielsdorf of Watertown, William Zielsdorf of Waupun, August Zielsdorf of Watertown, and Oscar Zielsdorf of Waupun, and two nephews, Thomas and Arthur Zielsdorf, both of Watertown.
Mr. Zielsdorf who died on Friday afternoon is survived by his four sons, and four daughters, Mrs. Anna Schlueter of Watertown, Mrs. James Moore of Waupun, Miss Bertha Zielsdorf of Waupun, and Mrs. T. J. Bell, of LaCrosse, Washington, who was unable to attend the funeral.

Zielsdorf Funeral Services Held Today
Funeral services for Fred Zeilsdorf, 82, who died Friday afternoon, were held Monday afternoon from the home at 1:45 p.m. and at 2 o'clock from the Immanuel Lutheran church, the Rev. W. E. Staehling officiating.
The Rev. O. Wonn of Brandon sang two selections at the funeral. Mr. Zielsdorf is survived by four sons and two nephews.
