EVANS, L.J. - {from Sedalia} The community mourns the loss of its oldest citizen, L.J. Evans, better known as Uncle Jack. He was 78 years and 10 months of age. He was a Civil War veteran. He was loved by all. He died at his home near Sedalia where he has resided for fifty years and is survived by his aged companion and nine children.
