-John Mowry and Sarah Porter married 1/1/1867 in Highland County, OH where her parents were buried.

-US Quaker Periodical, "The American Friend" 4th month, 18, 1918, p. 323 stated Sarah's parents were John and Minerva Porter.

-Death Certificate in Texas stated her father was John Porter.

-John Porter's Will named his daughter Sarah Mowry.

-1850 FC for White Oak Township, Highland County, OH named Sally in John and Minerva Pointer's (misspelled name - should have been Porter) household.

-1860 FC White Oak Township, Highland County, Ohio named Sally in John and Minerva Porter's household in the same family as 1850 FC; however, Porter was now spelled correctly.

-Sarah, Isaac and Selina Porter all left with their families from Mowrystown, Ohio, settled in Reno and McPherson Counties, Kansas and lived just a few miles from each other. Selina was buried in Little River Township/Harvey Cemetery and Isaac was buried in Inman City Cemetery.
