Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the Free Methodist Church of Cowden, with burial in Mound Cemetery, Cowden. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday in Lockart and Sons Funeral Home, Cowden. Memorials may be made to the Free Methodist Church of Cowden.
He was born Nov. 16, 1917, in Shelby County, the son of Fred and Myrtle Banning Banning.
Surviving are sons, Steven Banning and wife Diana of Cowden, David Banning and wife Tina and Mark Banning and wife Martie, all of Lakewood, and Brian Banning and wife Saundra of Aviston; daughters, Mrs.Joe (Norma) Kresin of Cowden and Mrs. Larry (Robin) Nohren of Shelbyville; brother, Lonnie Banning and wife Ruth of Effingham; sisters, Mrs.Dick (Velta "Sis") Randall of Beecher City and Mrs. Ed (Lois) Jones of Lakewood; 11 grandchildren.
One grandchild preceded him in death.
Mr. Banning was a farmer and member of the Free Methodist Church of Cowden.
