Ella White, daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth Westbay, was born near Leavenworth, Ind., Sept. 11, 1890 and departed this life on July 27, 1962 in Topeka, Kans., after an illness of some time.
..She spent most of her life in Kensington and Phillipsburg, Kans., working when she was able.
..She was united in marriage to Chas. White Aug. 12, 1906 at her home in Montrose, Kans. To the union were born two daughters, Frieda Randall and Nina Crawford. The family made their home in Kensington, Kans., many years.
..Those who preceded her in death are her mother, Elizabeth Westbay; father, Thomas Westbay; five brothers, W. D. Westbay, Laurence Westbay, Zenor Westbay, Frank Westbay and John Westbay; also one sister, Maude Hooten.
..Those who mourn her passing are her daughters, Mrs. Nina Crawford of Woodston and Mrs. Frieda Randall of Agra; ten grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
..Memorial services were held Sunday, July 29, at 2:30 p.m. from Simmons chapel in Kensington with the Rev. F. M. McDonald officiating. Gladys Davis was the vocalist with C. W. Osborn accompanying.
..Interment was in Olive Branch cemetery with Roy Bales, Ted Smith, Guy Billings, Ray Smith, Willis Pierce, and Roy Rust as pallbearers.
