Eufaula, Ala. - Aug. 20 - Henry B. Balcom, 76, who died at 2 o'clock Saturday at his home in Quitman county, Ga., after three week's illness was prominent farmer, widely known and an esteemed citizen. Besides his wife, he leaves four daughters: Mrs. R.D. Powell, Due West, S.C.; Mrs. C.A. Powell, Vidalia, Ga.; Mrs. Edgar Dozier, Hattiesburg, Miss.; Mrs. Edgar Boyett. Two sons, Henry B. Balcom Jr., and Norwood Balcom, Quitman county, Ga.; one brother, L.H. Balcom, Quitman county, Ga. The funeral will take place Monday at three o'clock at the Methodist church, Georgetown, Ga., and the interment will be in Fairview cemetery, Eufaula.
