Don McClellan was born on the family farm in Coleman County on July 31, 1918. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He married Ella Colleen Quigley on Feb. 5, 1951, in Hobbs, N.M. He was a farmer and rancher in Brown County, where he had lived since 1964. He was a member of the Gouldbusk Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of Brownwood; one daughter, Donna Gay Lewis of Blanket; two sons, Ross McClellan of San Angelo and Glenn Rex "Bo" McClellan of Beaumont; two brothers, Lester McClellan of Coleman and Pat N. McClellan of Goldsmith; two sisters, Jewel McMinn of Coleman and Bernelle Pittard of Austin; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the Eastlawn Memorial Park, directed by Davis-Morris Funeral Home of Brownwood.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
