William Stevenson was born between 1728 and 30 in Bertie County, N.C. He was a farmer. He was married to Grace Moore by August 1858. Grace was the daughter of Epaphroditus Moore and Elizabeth House. He died in Nov. 1761 in Northampton County, North Carolina, shortly before the birth of twin sons Moore and William.
