Mrs. Elizabeth Yahr
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth Yahr, 87, of West Bend, a former resident of Waubeka (Ozaukee Co.) were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Ohlrogge Funeral Home at West Bend, the Rev. Norman Dechant of St. martin's Ev. and Ref. Church, Filimore, officiating at the last rites. Interment was made at the West Bend Union Cemetery.
Mrs. Yahr, nee Board, was born in the town of Farmington on June 3, 1868, and her childhood was spent in that community. Her first husband, William Murray, passed away in 1924.
After her marriage to Julius Yahr they resided at Waubeka, and then moved to Elkhart Lake where they lived for 10 years.
Following Yahr's death five years ago, she moved to West Bend to make her home with a son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Murray.
She died at 10 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, at St. Joseph's hospital. West Bend, after a three wee's illness.
Surviving are three sons, Arthur Murray of Milwaukee, Merton of Rt 2, West Bend; two grandchildren; three great grandchildren; one sister Mrs. Charlotte Gerlach of Arpin, Wis. A daughter, Mabel Murray, preceded her in infancy.
Mrs. Yahr was a member of the Waubeka Ladies' Aid.
