On Nov. 19, 1951, he married, Faye Johnson, the love of his life, in the Logan Utah Temple. They were blesses with four children, Mike of Anchorage, Alaska, Julie (Kim) Lester of Carrolton, Texas, Debbie (Dan) Keetch of Dingle and Sally (Duane) Merrill of Spring Creek, Nevada. They raised their family in Dingle until 1972 when the railroad moved their terminal to Pocatello.
Don worked for the Union Pacific Railroad for 41 years, retiring as a conductor/brakeman in 1993. They resided in Pocatello for 21 years until moving back to Montpelier in 1993 where they built their home and currently reside. Don was an avid outdoorsman. All of his life he enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping and camping with family and friends. Some of Don’s fondest memories were hunting and fishing in Alaska with his son, Mike. Also, teaching his grandsons how to hunt and fish. He was a skilled carpenter learning from his father-in-law, Bartell Johnson. He was an avid Jazz fan. Don was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Don is survived by his wife of 58 ½ years; his children, 11 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren, all of whom loved and adored him dearly, a brother, Earl Feinauer of Idaho Falls and a sister, Shirley Toomer of Cokeville. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Wendell Feinauer.
Funeral services were held June 28 at the Montpelier Third Ward Church building. Interment was in the Montpelier City Cemetery.
