Obituary States: Benard (Ben) Gleason, son of Michael and Mary Gleason, was born North New Diggings, Wis.,Mar. 30, 1883, and died Dec. 22, 1965, at his home after a long illness.
On Feb. 4, 1925, he united in marrigage to Mary Frances Miller and to his union nine children were born. Mr. Gleason was a Shullsburg area farmer.
Preceding him in death were his parents, 3 brothers, John, William and James; 2 sisters, Mary Ellen and Johannna.
He was a member of St. Matthew's Parish, its Holy Name Society, and the Legion of Mary.
Surviors include his wife, Mary; four sons Benard, at home; Michael, Shullsburg; Joseph and John both of Benton; five daughters, Mrs. Paul (Rosemary) Prine and Mrs. Louis (Adeline) Graham, both of Darlington; Mrs. Ambrose (Catherine) Weiskircher and Mrs. Donna Larson; both of Shullsburg; and Mrs. Joel (Betty) Gratz of Alameda, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Earl Anderson, Shullsburg; and Mrs. Elmer Hinds of Benton; two brothers, Michael of Cuba City and Leo of Detroit, Mich.; and 28 grandchildren.
Funeral service were hell at 10 a.m. Friday Dec. 24 in St. Matthew's Church and burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallberers were Louis DeRocher, Austin Burns, Benard McDermott, Billy Gleason, Charles Blackbourn, and Michael Hughes.
