Donna M. Wiederholt, age 82 of Shullsburg, WI passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Memorial Hospital of Lafayette County in Darlington, WI surrounded by her family. She was born December 3, 1936 in Shullsburg the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Miller) Gleason. Donna was united in marriage to Bernard Harty on November 8, 1971 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Shullsburg. She later married Herbert Wiederholt on November 8, 2001 at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church. Donna lived in Shullsburg most of her life. She worked as a nurse’s aide for Shullsburg Home for 20 years and also packaged cheese for Grande Cheese Company in Darlington for a number of years. She also cleaned homes and businesses in the Lafayette County area.

Donna is survived by her four children: Mary Ann (Robert) Phillips of Tucson, AZ, Mary E. (Wade) Corning of West Bend, WI, Marlene (Jay) Monahan of Shullsburg, and Vicki (BJ) Wiegel of Darlington; four step-children; 11 grandchildren: Heather, Tiffany, and Chelsey Corning, Mallorie (Jeff) Held, Brittany (Terry) Gensler, Kyle Monahan, Taylor (Callie Schommer) Wiegel, Elena (Blake) Wedig, Mariah (Hunter Hauser) Wiegel, Carter Wiegel, Camden Wiegel; 6 great-grandchildren; 9 step-grandchildren; and her siblings: John Gleason, Joe Gleason, and Mike (Darlene) Gleason all of Shullsburg and Betty Gratz of Darlington. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands: Bernard Harty and Herbert Wiederholt; three sisters: Rosemary Prine, Adeline Graham, and Catherine Weiskircher; one brother: Bernard Gleason, two sisters-in-law: Judy Gleason and Marietta Gleason; and four brothers-in-law: Ambrose Weiskircher, Louis Graham, Joel Gratz and Paul Prine.

Donna was a member of St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Shullsburg and a past member of its Catholic Daughters. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and crocheting. Donna cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren creating memories they will all remember forever. She will be sadly missed and fondly remembered by her family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, March 15, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church (344 N. Judgement St., Shullsburg) with Rev. Sudhakar Devarapu officiating. Burial will be in St. Matthew’s Cemetery in Shullsburg. A visitation will be held Thursday, March 14, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Erickson Funeral Home in Shullsburg (235 N. Judgement Street, Shullsburg) and on Friday, March 15, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until 10:45 A.M at the church. A rosary will be recited at 4:30 P.M. on Thursday, March 14, 2019.
