Infant Dies
The infant child of Mr. and Mrs. D.A. Cockrell died at the home east of Hunter, Sunday morning at 11 o'clock. Funeral services took place at the residence and the remains of the little one were laid to rest in the Hunter cemetery on Monday. The child was taken in its purity and its little spirit was borne home upon the wings of the morning to him who said, "Suffer the little child to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the Kingdom of God." Mr. and Mrs. Cockrell have the sympathy of their many friends in the community in their bereavement.
(David Alexander Cockrell is the son of my 2nd great grandfather Thomas Jefferson Cockrell.)
The parents, Mr. and Mrs. D. A. Cockrell, mentioned in the obituary are David Alexander Cockrell and Pattie J. Lambert Cockrell, married 03 Dec 1894 in Garfield County, Oklahoma.
