Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Reed Funeral Chapel in Harrisburg with the Rev. Darrell Ford officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Lawn Cemetery. Visitation is 5 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, 2006, at the funeral home.
She was born Nov. 19, 1920, in Saline County to the late Richard T. and Beulah (Douglas) Barnes. On July 3, 1936, she married Galen Woodrow Owen, who preceded her in death on Nov. 20, 1995.
She was a homemaker and a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
She is survived by a daughter, Dixie (Guinn) Scott of Harrisburg; a son, Jim Owen of O'Fallon, Mo.; three grandchildren, Clinton Gearhart and James Christopher (Tera) Wangler, both of Harrisburg and Melanie Renee Hinton of Evansville, Ind.; and three great-grandchildren, Sara Madison Wangler, Ally Marie Hinton and Jessica Page Hinton.
